The Client, consisting of 14 sub-functions and 2500 employees, sought a partner to facilitate the migration of SharePoint due to inadequacies in the classic version. Low engagement and perceived lack of value among employees necessitated the upgrade.
The challenge
What we did
We first developed an ecosystem map that showed the interconnectivity of various platforms and tools which employees currently and could use for a better experience. This was accompanied by a communication and content strategy/ ecosystem with the aim of promoting connectivity and collaboration across the function via SharePoint.
We collaborated with our SharePoint partners to research the stakeholder groups and understand what was important to them and what were the business priorities that SharePoint would support. This informed the site architecture and wireframes for each site. We provided end to end communication support and managed the engagement with all stakeholder groups for the launch of the SharePoint sites.
Core to the approach was the insights, project management and stakeholder management. To enable deployment and maintenance of SharePoint across the functions we provided advice and guidance, training and created guides and toolkits for site and page owners. Following the launch of all sites we created a community on Teams and provide quarterly learning and sharing sessions. We continue to provide maintenance support to the clients and its functions.
